Sarah Campbell, PhD, is a clinical psychologist, CDA awardee, and affiliate investigator with the VA HSR&D Center of Innovation for Veteran-Centered and Value-Drive Care in Seattle, WA, and an acting assistant professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the University of Washington. She received her PhD in clinical psychology from George Mason University, completed a clinical internship and clinical fellowship in couple and family health at VA Puget Sound - Seattle, and completed an advanced fellowship in health services research at VA Puget Sound and the University of Washington.
Dr. Campbell's research focuses on leveraging social supports to enhance treatment engagement and outcomes for PTSD, as well as expanding access to mental health care through brief interventions in novel settings (e.g., Primary Care Mental Health Integration). She also has an interest in experience sampling research, measurement-based care, and dyadic or interpersonally-focused interventions. Her career development award seeks to evaluate a brief, social support-focused intervention for PTSD and establish a framework for measurement-based care of social support in the context of mental health treatment.
