Christianne L. Roumie, MD, MPH
Director, VETWISE-LHS
Dr. Christianne L. Roumie is a leader in the fields of cardiovascular and pharmaco-epidemiology, chronic disease prevention, and health services research. As the Director of VETWISE-LHS, Dr. Roumie brings years of experience in clinical research aimed at preventing and improving chronic disease outcomes among Veterans. She has been instrumental in developing strategies that integrate research into clinical practice, ensuring that Veterans receive personalized, high-quality care based on the latest scientific evidence.
Lucy Spalluto, MD, MPH
Associate Director, Veteran Engagement and Implementation Core
Dr. Lucy Spalluto leads the Veteran Engagement and Implementation Core (VEC) at VETWISE-LHS. She is a nationally recognized leader in health equity and is responsible for ensuring that Veterans, their caregivers, and community stakeholders are actively involved in the research and implementation of healthcare interventions. Dr. Spalluto’s leadership ensures that all VETWISE projects are aligned with the needs and preferences of the Veteran community, fostering equity and sustainability in healthcare delivery.
Michael Matheny, MD, MPH, MS
Associate Director, Biomedical Informatics and Data Science Core
Dr. Michael Matheny is an expert in biomedical informatics and data science, overseeing the Biomedical Informatics and Data Science Core (BIDS) at VETWISE-LHS. His work focuses on utilizing advanced data analytics, machine learning, and health informatics to drive innovation in Veteran healthcare. Under his leadership, the BIDS core is transforming healthcare data into actionable insights, enabling more informed decision-making in clinical care.
