Description: The objective of this presentation is to highlight a novel methodology, pilot the use of Asynchronous Online Focus Groups (AOFGs), to overcome barriers in time demand from clinicians. Current methods of qualitative data collection are demanding for clinicians’ time, thus posing a barrier to collect data from busy clinicians who must attend to unpredictable demands from work. This presentation will share how we used Microsoft Teams to build asynchronous focus group channels for primary care staff to share their experiences as part of a larger study about coordinating primary care. We will also share lessons learned in optimizing AOFGs as well as preliminary methodological insights in piloting this method.
Intended Audience:Researchers, qualitative analysts
