Rebecca Tisdale, MD, MPA, is an internist, obesity medicine specialist, and health services researcher at VA Palo Alto Healthcare System, where she is an investigator at the Center for Innovation to Implementation (Ci2i), a VA COIN. She is an affiliated instructor in the Division of Primary Care and Population Health in the Department of Medicine at Stanford University School of Medicine. Dr. Tisdale completed her medical degree at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons and her internal medicine/global health residency and chief residency at Stanford, as well as a health services research and development fellowship through VA Palo Alto and the Stanford University School of Medicine Department of Health Policy. She also completed a master of public administration (MPA) joint degree from Sciences Po, Paris and the London School of Economics.

Dr. Tisdale's research focuses on value, access, and equity in cardiovascular disease care and the role of virtual care in achieving these goals. Her HSR Career Development Award, "Improving Specialty Care through Virtual Care Models," will evaluate the extent to which a telehealth-based hub-and-spoke cardiology clinic improves access while maintaining quality of care for Veterans in specialty care deserts and design an intervention to improve quality of care in the program.
