Description: VIReC is presenting the third topic in a three-session miniseries on data access designed for new and established VA data users. This particular session focuses on the resources, regulatory requirements, and processes for requesting VA data access for operations purposes. Our primary goal is to increase awareness and understanding of how to access operations data for internal VA projects such as program assessment, quality improvement, and other non-research objectives related to analyzing and improving the quality of services and care provided to Veterans.

Joining Angela for audience Q&A will be additional VIReC team members, as well as representatives from VA Informatics and Computing Infrastructure (VINCI) and National Data Systems (NDS).

Objectives:
• Outline the data sources, tools, and provisioning for operations data access
• Explain the regulatory requirements specific to operations data access requests
• Provide a brief overview of the VHA Data Portal and the various data request processes for operations data access
