Description: In this Cyberseminar HSR investigators Huebler and Baylis present methods and results of the quality improvement project examining trends over the last decade in controlled substance prescribing over three telehealth modalities (telephone, VA video connect [VVC], clinical video telehealth [CVT]). Controlled substance prescribing is characterized both in terms of the medications prescribed and the relationship of the prescriber and patient. Of particular interest are new medication initiations and the longevity of patient/provider relationships without previous in-person encounters.
Intended Audience: The intended audience includes prescribers (i.e., Physicians, Pharmacists, Physician Assistant, Nurse Practitioner), researchers, and policymakers.
