Description: Service members and Veterans exposed to high-intensity blast explosions are at risk of chronic auditory impairments, often despite having minimal or no loss of hearing sensitivity. This presentation will highlight the prevalence and types of auditory deficits observed among blast-exposed Service members and Veterans, and provide an overview of ongoing efforts to diagnose and effectively manage hearing difficulties in this patient population.
Intended Audience: This presentation is intended for clinicians and researchers with an interest in the clinical care of patients with traumatic brain injury and blast exposure.
