The Virtual Care CORE’s mission is to facilitate research that evaluates and improves use of virtual care to enhance the accessibility, capacity, and quality of VA health care and Veteran experience.
Virtual care modalities aim to: Increase Veteran access to services; improve workflow and workload of VA clinical team members; and engage and support Veterans to participate in their own care.
The VC CORE has four impact goals:
The Principal Investigators for the Virtual Care CORE are Scott Sherman MD, MPH, physician at VA NY Harbor Healthcare System and Professor of Population Health and Medicine at the New York University at Langone Health; Tim Hogan, PhD, research investigator at the Bedford and Boston VA’s Centers for Healthcare Organization and Implementation Research (CHOIR); and Donna Zulman, MD, MS, physician and research investigator at the Palo Alto VA Center for Innovation to Implementation.
