Our study team is interested in submitting an abstract for the HSR&D/QUERI National Meeting. Is it acceptable to submit abstracts on research that has been previously presented?
Yes, it's fine to submit work that has already been presented.
Work that has already been published or accepted for publication IS NOT eligible for submission. Work that is “under review” but not yet accepted at the time of the submission deadline IS eligible for submission.
Can I include more than three authors in my workshop submission?
A maximum of three authors is allowed.
Is it possible that to submit an abstract after the July 11, 2022 deadline?
What if my abstract is accepted and then I can't attend due to COVID or other scheduling issues?
If you are unable to attend, you may identify a substitute presenter or remove your presentation from the meeting.
If I have multiple presentations accepted, can I identify different presenters for some of them?
You are expected to attend and present all submissions for which you are accepted. The only exception is if you are unable to attend (see question above).
Are travel funds provided for a lead presenter of an accepted abstract if the individual holds a WOC appointment and is not a VA employee at a center?
Yes, travel funds will be provided for any approved presenter, regardless of VA employment status.
