Description: This presentation will present an overview of approaches to thematic analysis (TA), with a particular emphasis on the version we have developed - reflexive TA. We situate reflexive TA within the wider domain of qualitative researching, and highlight key conceptual, design, and practice considerations for how (best) to do reflexive TA, and what to avoid. We aim to provide a foundation for understanding practice, that leads to a knowingness that is important for quality (reflexive) TA.
Intended audience: Researchers, practitioners, leaders, or policy makers with an interest in conducting or understanding thematic analysis - we will primarily aim for a relatively unfamiliar audience, so detailed knowledge of TA is not required.
