Description: VA operates the most comprehensive publicly funded caregiver support program in the country, and through innovation has driven the spread of evidence-based interventions that address gaps in caregiver training. This presentation will share the story of developing and implementing a caregiver intervention from single site Randomized Control Trial to VA-wide adoption, including: the arc of intervention development, refinement to improve fit in real-world settings, and implementation in diverse VA contexts. This presentation will feature both researcher and operational partner perspectives on the value of the intervention and subsequent research to support translational efforts.
Intended Audience
Researchers and policymakers interested in how implementation science can be used to support family caregiver interventions from research to large-scale implementation.
