Development and Evaluation of PARTNER-MH, a Peer-Led Patient Navigation Intervention for Minoritized Veterans in VA MH Clinics

Description: In this presentation, Dr. Eliacin will describe the development and pre-implementation of PARTNER-MH, a peer-led patient navigation program and mental health disparity intervention for racially and ethnically diverse Veterans in VA outpatient mental health clinics. PARTNER-MH seeks to engage Veterans in VA mental health services, support Veterans to become more active partners in their care, and facilitate Veterans’ participation in treatment decision-making with their mental health providers. Dr. Eliacin will also discuss the results of the PARTNER-MH pilot randomized controlled trial and future directions for this project.

Intended Audience: Clinicians, researchers, fellows, Veterans, and anyone else interested in health equity and mental health services research.
