Patient Care Assessment System (PCAS) 2022 Update

Description: Patient Care Assessment System (PCAS) Release 5.1 (04/01/2022) Includes new filters for VHA Emergency Departments/Urgent Care Centers visits and suicide risk. PCAS also includes suggested care steps for managing certain comorbidities like Liver and Cardiometabolic which are currently available with Mental Health being released this year. A new training and demonstration version of PCAS has been launched which uses test data for demonstrations and education.

Intended Audience: All VA care providers, especially primary care and case managers, as well as anyone interested in high risk patient identification and care coordination strategies.
