Description: This Cyberseminar will review the latest guidance on presenting one's clinical and scientific work in a manner that is concise, accessible and appealing. This skill is essential to effective networking, however, compressing a complex program of work into a brief, five-minute (or less) soundbite is a formidable challenge. Though we commonly find ourselves with the opportunity to "pitch our work" in a brief, unexpected encounter with potential collaborators, most early career investigators tell us they wish they had more training to do this well. We will use this cyber-seminar to offer skills and information to early career researchers in VA who may wish to develop competency with their scientific "elevator pitch." Intended Audience: The intended audience is VA HSR & D early career researchers, particularly career development awardees.
