Emerging Evidence on Technology-based Treatment of Women Veterans’ Mental Health

Description: A cyberseminar reviewing emerging evidence of technology-based treatment of women Veterans’ mental health. Dr. Keren Lehavot will describe a randomized clinical trial that compared an 8-week web-based intervention, called DElivery of Self TRaining and Education for Stressful Situations (DESTRESS)–Women Veterans version (WV), to phone monitoring condition for women Veterans with PTSD (N = 102). Dr. Amy Street will focus on Beyond MST, a self-help mobile app designed to promote recovery among military sexual trauma survivors. Dr. Street will describe the ways in which qualitative input from multiple stakeholders, including MST survivors, has been incorporated into the design and evaluation of this mobile health intervention. Implications for future research, including adapting or tailoring treatments and different models of care, will be discussed.
