Putting Science into Practice is Hard: But There is Help!

Description: Abstract: Dissemination and Implementation Science (D&I) is a critical investment for the VA to improve the delivery of evidence based (EBP) healthcare and apply most up-to-date EBP in clinical practice. The presenters will review how to use D&I science to design for dissemination, implementation, and sustainability of EBP through the pre-implementation phase of planning an EBP, the implementation phase focusing how to implement an EBP with a D&I approach to enhance uptake of EBP, and lastly the sustainment phase of using D&I to evaluate an EBP and enhance sustainment.

Target audience: Dissemination and Implementation (D&I) Science experts to provide feedback for a VA Talent Management System training that will introduce D&I Science to providers and staff who are new to the field.
