Methodology for Cost-Effectiveness Analysis of a Pain-Focused Brief Intervention: Emphasis on pain-related costs

Description: In this session, we will describe the methods used to assess the costs of pain-related care from the VA’s Managerial Cost Accounting System. We include pain-related care provided at the VA (inpatient and outpatient), as well as care paid for by the VA (community care). We’ll present preliminary findings of pain-related costs in FY19 from a cohort of Veterans applying for musculoskeletal disabilities.
