Seminar date: 9/23/2021

Description: The U.S. Department of Defense ordered a 90-day Independent Review Commission on Sexual Assault in the Military to address sexual assault and harassment in the Armed Forces. The Commission focused on accountability, prevention, climate and culture, and victim care and support, engaging a wide array of experts and interviewing active duty service members and Veterans, to arrive at recommendations for practice and policy action. The VA Women’s Health Research Network was asked to organize a briefing to the Commission on VA military sexual trauma (MST) research. This cyberseminar reprises that briefing and includes an overview of the resulting recommendations.
