Description: Dr. Parr and Ms. Veazie will present results from their evidence brief assessing the benefits and harms of periodontal disease treatment on non-dental health, quality of life, health care utilization, and costs among adults with type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease, cerebrovascular disease, or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Dr. Garrido will be on the call as a discussant. Intended audience: Members of the clinical team who care for patients with chronic diseases, as well as researchers, policymakers and other stakeholders interested in the effect of dental treatment on chronic disease outcomes.
