Description: This presentation will review a RRD-funded unique study protocol that evaluates the effects of a partnered, self-directed mobile intervention to teach Veterans with PTSD and chronic pain and their partners complementary and integrative health skills, using mobile technology. This multi-site RCT presents lessons learned and strategies for recruiting hard to reach audiences, challenges when recruiting non-Veteran partners, regulatory and contractual challenges when leveraging mobile technology and electronic data collection and management resources external to the VA system. Intended Audience: Research and clinical personnel with interest in complimentary and integrative health, evaluation of mobile technology and interventions, and those interested in utilizing electronic data collection and management resources outside the VA system.
