Description: Part 1: Will give an update on current understanding of mechanisms underlying microvascular angina and discuss cardiodiagnostics for detection of ischemic heart disease in women. Intended audience: Primary care and specialists who care for women with ischemic heart disease as well as investigators interested in novel diagnostics or therapeutics for microvascular coronary disease. Part 2: Will discuss updates in the ACC/AHA Guideline on the primary prevention of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD) and highlights that are relevant to women with risk factors for ASCVD as well as remaining controversies in the literature that require further research. Intended audience: Primary care and clinicians working in neurology, cardiology, vascular surgery, and cardiothoracic surgery.
