Description: Suicide is the 10th leading cause of death in the United States and rates are continuing to climb. Suicide prevention literature and public health policy both call for treatment targeting high-risk populations. Care transitions provide critical opportunities for intervention to reduce the risk of suicide and improve functional recovery. This Cyberseminar will focus on the development and efficacy of The Coping Long Term with Active Suicide Program (CLASP). Presenters will discuss suicide risk factors, challenges in suicide prevention over care transitions, and will present efficacy data on CLASP. Intended audience: anyone interested in suicide prevention and care transitions.
