Description: This presentation will introduce the Python programming language, which has become an increasingly popular choice of language for scientific researchers. First a broad overview of Python and what makes it so influential will be introduced. Then there will be a Python demonstration to familiarize the audience with basic Python syntax and how to run Python scripts. Intended Audience: Anyone who is interested in learning more about the Python programming language. Previous knowledge about programming language is helpful but not required.
