Seminar date: 3/8/2018
Description: This cyberseminar follows two months of DoD data descriptions that will soon be available to VA investigators. It will provide an overview of the Department of Defense (DoD) and Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Infrastructure for Clinical Intelligence (DaVINCI) project. The overall goals of the project will be described as well as the process of getting the regulatory and technical framework set up to share data between the DoD and VA for approved purposes. The adoption of the Observational Medical Outcomes Partnership (OMOP) as a shared common data model between the agencies will be discussed as well as how one might go about requesting access to DoD data. A description of ongoing work will also be provided. Intended audience: Researchers, operational managers and other users of VINCI who expect to or are already working on projects with the MHS and VA dual eligible population. Potential users of DaVINCI are strongly encouraged to attend.
