Description: As part of the In 2014 Congress passed the Veterans Access, Choice, and Accountability Act (VACAA) VA created a new position: Group Practice Manager (GPM). Findings from a qualitative evaluation of five prototype Group Practice Manager sites included the variety of specific functions involved in making services accessible: engaging staff across, need for strong “people skills” and some level of authority; and interpreting and communicating data. National and locally tailored training and tools were critical to the role. Intended audience: Group Practice Managers, Clinical, VA facility and national leadership, and VA Informatics.
