Description: Veterans’ unique military experiences and exposures in different military periods or eras add another layer of vulnerability to the usual determinants of health and well-being. A combination of these factors increases the likelihood of health disparities for Veterans. The October Focus on Health Equity and Action Cyberseminar – New Vietnam Veteran Studies on Health and Mortality – will describe two Veterans Health Administration program office research projects on Vietnam Veterans and discuss how these studies should demonstrate health and mortality outcomes related to equity. Intended Audience: Researchers, clinicians, care coordinators, policy makers, educators, Veteran stakeholders and representatives of vulnerable Veteran groups who are interested in understanding and/or promoting equitable health among all Veterans.
