Description: Faith-based communities (FBCs) are recognized as playing an important role in public health suicide prevention efforts. In this presentation, we attempt to better understand the roles prescribed to FBCs as well as present baseline data related to how some FBCs are currently responding to the needs of their Veteran members/attendees. Implications for research and practice will be discussed. This presentation is intended for suicide prevention researchers and practitioners.
