Hayden Bosworth, PhD
Health Systems Research is proud to announce that HSR investigator Hayden Bosworth, PhD, received the 2024 Department of Health and Human Services, National Institute of Health, National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) Mid-Senior Investigator Impact Award. Dr. Bosworth earned the award in recognition of his contributions to advancing late-stage translation research funded by the NHLBI’s Center for Translation Research and Implementation Science.
Dr. Bosworth is a health psychologist and health services researcher. His research interests target clinical research that provides knowledge for improving patients’ treatment adherence and self-management in chronic care, and translation research to improve access to quality of care. Dr. Bosworth is Deputy Director of the Center of Innovation to Accelerate Discovery and Practice Transformation at the Durham VA Medical Center and a Senior Career Scientist. He is also a Professor of Medicine, Psychiatry, and Nursing at the Duke University Medical Center and Adjunct Professor in Health Policy and Administration at the School of Public Health at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
