Jennifer L. Martin, PhD, FAASM, is Associate Director for Clinical and Health Services Research in the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System's Geriatric Research, Education, and Clinical Center. She is also Professor of Medicine at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. Dr. Martin's scientific research program focuses on improving sleep as a key component of maintaining and improving physical and mental health, particularly among women and older adults with sleep disorders. She is a nationally-known expert in insomnia disorder and is the Subject Matter Expert for VA's program to disseminate Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia. Dr. Martin also serves on the Board of Directors for the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) and the AASM Foundation.
