Dr. Charlie Wray is a health services investigator and general internist at the San Francisco VA Medical Center. Dr. Wray's research interests are broadly focused on exploring how socially vulnerable populations interact with health care systems through digital means (e.g., tablets, telemedicine, telephone, and mobile devices). For example, Dr. Wray has examined how Veteran's "digital health literacy" - or the skill sets that are needed to use and interact through digital means - affect health care utilization and quality of patient care. Dr. Wray received his VA CDA in 2021 and is focused on exploring how the large-scale use of telemedicine is impacting quality of care and health outcomes within the VA health care system.
