Description: Compared to their non-Veteran peers, women Veterans experience a disproportionate burden of trauma and mental health conditions. In the general population, these exposures are associated with adverse reproductive health outcomes across the lifespan. A growing body of research suggests similar patterns among women Veterans, yet important gaps remain. This presentation will synthesize current evidence on the associations between trauma history, mental health conditions, and reproductive health outcomes among women Veterans across the lifespan, and will highlight key clinical, policy, and research implications.
Intended Audience: Clinicians and Researchers
