Description: This is the first session in a six part series designed to provide orientation and guidance to researchers interested in applying for a CDA. The session will provide a brief overview of the history of the VA HSR&D CDA Program and its purpose and expectations, and then describe the personal and intellectual processes underlying the planning and development of a successful CDA application. The session builds on core elements from the CDA Proposal Workshop (Shekelle & Small, October 2014). Intended audience: Prospective CDA applicants, their mentors and others who work to support local career development in HSR&D. Please share this information with colleagues who might be interested.
