Description: In this “Work-in-Progress” Cyberseminar, Dr. Khalaf will present the results to date from her HSR&D career development award studying the diagnostic process in pancreatic cancer, including instances where the diagnosis is missed or delayed. She will discuss her work on identifying such missed opportunities in diagnosis and highlight how EHR data can be used to develop quality indicators based on emergency cancer diagnosis.

Intended Audience: Anyone interested understanding and reducing care delays, improving cancer diagnosis, and the use of healthcare informatics for quality and safety measurement and/or improvement.
